Springs at Monarch Landing recently announced that it has received the Best Nursing Home title from American News and World Report.
“We’re proud, but not surprised to be one of the best,” said Mark Trunka, Managing Director of Monarch Landing Senior Life Community in Naperville. Springs, Monarch Landing’s Health and Rehabilitation Center is one of the best nursing homes in the U.S. News and World Report 2020-2021. The first 21% of nursing homes have springs in the elite group. “This honor acknowledges that our team is committed and provides the best possible care,” Trunca said.
American News and World Report is considered a global authority on health rankings. 2020-2021 is the 11th year they have released their “Best of” positions. This year, the nursing home profile pages were updated to include patient safety summaries that reflect COVID-19 data.
Springs was identified as having “high performance”, the best position in both rankings: long-term maintenance and short-term maintenance. Considers long-term category employees, success in preventing ER visits, pneumonia vaccination rates, and more. The short-term type evaluates the sustainability of registered nursing staff, success in preventing falls, and more. Only a very small percentage of communities, including The Springs, topped both categories.
In addition, Springs at Monarch Landing received a valuable five-star rating from the Center for Medical and Medical Services (CMS).
“We are proud of our entire team and look forward to continuing to provide unparalleled service in 2021,” Trunca said.
