New Zealand to allow isolated travel with Australia
New Zealand agreed on Monday to allow isolated travel with Australia in the first quarter of 2021, almost a year after it closed its borders to protect its population from the global corona virus outbreak.
Prime Minister Jacinta Ardern agreed in principle to Tasman that the secession of the free travel bubble isolated from the Australian Cabinet is pending, and there are no significant changes in the situation between the two countries.
“Our aim is to name a date … as soon as the rest of the details are locked out in the New Year,” Ordern told a news conference in the capital, Wellington.
New Zealand has almost eliminated the Govt-19 by enforcing a strict lockout and keeping its borders closed to all foreigners throughout the year.
Nonprofits across the country are facing rising costs and calls for help
Seattle – American generosity this holiday season does not apply to nonprofits dealing with the corona virus.
Despite the registered charitable donations this year, nonprofits across the country are suffocated by the effects of epidemics as companies face rising costs and requests for assistance, but often without their own support organizations, including volunteers and personal fundraising events.
December is generally the most important month for nonprofit income, as Christmas and year-end tax breaks generally cause a flood of charities. That is not enough.
Efforts are underway to encourage higher payments since the corona virus took over modern life in March.
The IRS urges the public to use a special $ 300 tax deduction next year for cash donations by 2020 to tax-exempt nonprofits. The initiative allows for tax breaks until 2020 only, as part of the Corona virus aid, relief and economic protection law passed by Congress last spring.
The vaccine is starting to come to Canada
TORONTO – Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced that the first of the Covit-19 vaccine bottles filled with freezer has arrived in Canada.
Trudeau tweeted that they were being taken off a plane. Last Wednesday, Canada’s health regulator approved a vaccine made by US pharmaceutical maker Pfizer and Germany’s Bioendech.
The Canadian government recently amended its contract with Pfizer to allow up to 249,000 doses this month. Trudeau says this is good news, but he urges Canadians to regularly wear masks, skip meetings, and download government apps that let users know if they are in contact with those who have tested positive.
Los Angeles County broke the record for re-hospitalization
LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles County has surpassed the record for re-admission to the Corona virus hospital, fulfilling the district public health director’s poor predictions in just a few days.
Statistics released Sunday afternoon show that more than 4,000 people have been hospitalized for COVID-19 in the country’s most populous district.
It surpasses the previous record of 3,850 patients per day in a hospital, and follows the trend of hospitalization every day from November 1st.
The LA County Health Director on Monday warned that the county could see the figure rise to 4,000 in two weeks, when the number of hospital admissions was close to 3,000.
More than 325,000 drugs of the COVID-19 vaccine go to California.
Italy has surpassed the UK in the number of Covid-19 deaths in Europe
Italy eclipsed Britain on Sunday with the worst official corona virus death toll in Europe.
Italy, where the epidemic began, recorded 484 COVID-19 deaths in a single day, one of the lowest one-day deaths in a month.
However, those recent deaths have boosted the official death toll in Italy to 64,520, while in Britain the figure is 64,267, according to Johns Hopkins University.
Both numbers reduce the actual number of infections. Counting criteria differ in both countries, and many corona virus deaths are believed to have gone undiagnosed, especially in the early stages of infection, including the elderly in hospitals that have not been tested for COVID-19.
One of the leading causes of death in Italy was the first country in Europe to be infected, leading health workers to catch the virus, which is often unknown. Italy has a lower proportion of medical staff per patient compared to other European countries.
Germany, a country much larger than Italy, owns one-third of Italy or Britain. More than half of Italy’s known COVID-19 deaths are recorded in the first uprising. On Sunday, Italy raised its official number of 17,938 corona virus infections to 1.84 million.
