Cedric Richmond, Biden’s White House incoming senior adviser, conducts tests in favor of Govt.
The Biden change committee announced in a statement on Thursday that Representative Cedric Richmond had tested positive for the Govt-19.
Biden’s ally, Richmond, is a senior adviser to the incoming White House and director of the Office of Public Involvement. Biden’s team said the Louisiana legislator was not in close contact with the president – elect, and a PCR test was conducted, which turned negative Thursday.
The news comes as Biden is expected to take the corona virus vaccine publicly soon next week.
Richmond traveled to Georgia on Tuesday for a campaign event for Democratic candidates running in the Senate. Richmond developed symptoms Wednesday and underwent a quick test, which came back positive. On Thursday, he underwent a PCR test, which the team said was positive.
Richmond was not in close contact with the candidates, the campaign said, adding that he wore the mask and spoke with the president-elect in the open for less than 15 minutes in total. Interim teams said they had conducted “immediate” contact tracking procedures and found two drivers during the event in Georgia – two people in close contact with Richmond. Both will be isolated.
Richmond will be isolated for 14 days and will undergo two PCR tests before returning to personal work in Congress and the Interim Committee, the report said.

Public health officials warned Thursday that intensive care unit bed capacity in the state’s most populous region, Southern California, has dropped by 0 percent.
ICU capacity in the San Joaquin Valley has dropped to alarmingly low – 0.7 percent as of Thursday. In Northern California, about 25 percent of ICU beds are open. In the Bay Area, the efficiency is 13 percent.

The governor says the Washington state Govt-19 vaccine allocation will be reduced by 40 percent next week
Washington State Gov. Jay Insley on Thursday said the state’s Govt-19 vaccine quota will be reduced by 40 percent. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention told Washington officials that corona virus vaccines are being reduced without any explanation, which Insley says is “disruptive and frustrating.”
“Our government is committed to getting all the amounts we have allocated into the hands of health care providers and Washington. When we press for answers, that commitment will not change,” Insley said on Twitter.
